Mawdesley Badminton Club was formed in 1974 when they had just one team. They now have 4 teams covering the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 6th Divisions. They have a thriving Junior section which plays on a Saturday morning 11.40 to 1.00pm at Burscough Sports Centre, supported and coached by 3 level 2 coaches and 1 level 1 coach. They have 6 of their young players in the Lancashire County Teams. They also have teams in the Junior League
