I extend a very warm welcome to everyone who visits this website.
As the 2011/2012 season beckons, or indeed may have already started for some teams with Cup matches, it is perhaps relevant for me to highlight certain features that have been introduced for this season.
To provide more play in the Shields competition for those players who currently only participate in one mixed and one level doubles, the three mixed doubles events will consist of 2 games of 30 aces. Another innovation, which is being trialled in 2011/2012, is a sealed handicap for Watkinson Trophy matches.
Finally, on behalf of the League Executive and myself, I wish you all a most enjoyable season.
